Christian Service Weekend Projects
There will be two Service Weekends offered throughout the year, in which students and chaperones will devote a weekend of service to various sites throughout Los Angeles such as homeless shelters, retirement homes, and women’s shelters. The Service Weekends involve a tour of the Skid Row area of Downtown Los Angeles, which is home to one of the largest homeless populations in the United States. The duration is from Friday after school until Sunday morning, concluding with a mass at Dolores Mission Parish in East LA.
The first
Service Weekend will occur on
October 7-9 with students
serving at the Guadalupe
Homeless Project.
Many thanks in advance to
the Latino Student Union for
raising supplies to donate to
this cause!
The second Service
Weekend will occur this spring.
Interested students
should sign-up in the Campus
Ministry Office, Room 405 as the
date nears.
