The commitment of hundreds of friends, alumni, corporations and foundations provides resources for today’s needs, as well as ensuring Verbum Dei’s future.  Each year the School benefits from gifts and pledges that support many programs, activities and endowments.  All of our programs ensure the holistic education of our young men to become Intellectually Competent, Socially Conscious and Spiritually Rooted.  By participating in a college preparatory curriculum, community service programs, spiritual formation programs, athletics, student government and other co-curricular activities, each Verbum Dei grad is ready to face the world beyond the Eagles’ Nest with confidence and competence.

Our young men work hard to provide a large portion of the funding to the School’s operating budget.  In fact, last year our young Eagles earned $1.1 million collectively by working 5 days a month in their Corporate Work Study Program jobs.  This opportunity to earn their tuition frees their families from the burden of a high cost tuition which most of our Verbum Dei students would not be able to afford.  

The gap that is left after the School collects the $2,000 tuition from families and the earned tuition from the students’ Corporate Work Study Program jobs is fulfilled by generous donations from people like you.  You are the link that makes Verbum Dei High School feasible and successful.  Your support is imperative in helping the young men of South Los Angeles soar to new heights as they reach their God given potential to become the leaders we know they can be.
