Verbum Dei High School has a strong athletic tradition. As a California Interscholastic Federation Southern Section school, Verbum Dei High School competes in six sports: Football, Basketball, Soccer, Baseball, Track & Field, and Cross Country.

Championships and Regional Titles are nothing new to the soaring Eagles. Verbum Dei High School is one of the most winning high schools in the area.

Verbum Dei High School Competes in two leagues: For Football the Del Rey League and all other sports the Santa Fe League.
